close to main beach and charming local markets
During my stay in the Sonja Henje room, I was thrilled by the easy walk to East Hampton Main Beach, just a little over 3 km away, and the delightful East Hampton Farmer's Market, which was less than 2 km, making my city strolling both scenic and enjoyable, filled with unique local finds and beautiful coastal views.

It was just a good pick for a short visit in East Hampton with good value for money. The French Press coffee at breakfast was delicious and made our mornings enjoyable. Just be sure to lock up all valuables during your stay.

Loved the cozy vibe of our room with a canvas sail bed canopy and the amazing breakfast buffet featuring homemade granola! The garden area was super relaxing, and the library was a nice touch for unwinding. Only downside was the somewhat limited parking, but that didn’t take away from our awesome stay. 😊

The cozy atmosphere of the hotel was inviting, and the beautiful garden provided a lovely space for my family and our son's autism support dog to relax. The rooms were charming and had a unique Scandinavian design that added character to our stay.
In my wife’s opinion, the service was severely lacking, especially when it came to welcoming families and managing requests.

missingWrote a review on Aug 13noisy environment
Rooms felt cramped for almost $800 a night, and noise levels from the restaurant below made it tough to get a good night's sleep, especially on weekends. The lack of basic storage space in the bathroom and the absence of bottled water for beach outings struck me as unusual and inconvenient, especially for a hotel in this category.

Ideal for a quirky getaway
Had this amazing experience lounging in the cozy bar area with my two dogs, listening to live music while savoring a perfectly cooked duck breast, hands down my favorite meal! The staff treated us like family, making an effort to make sure my Bernese Mountain Dog felt welcome too, and the whole vibe was just right for a laid-back time.
It wasn’t the cheapest option, but for the experience, it felt reasonable enough.

The Maidstone Hotel had a charming and cozy vibe with unique decor that made our stay feel special. Our room, Sonja Henje, featured a comfortable bed and a lovely seating area perfect for relaxation. The outdoor space was wonderful for unwinding, especially with the warm sea breeze.
No major complaints, but breakfast could be improved.

The 'Pippi Longstocking' room definitely needs a serious refresh. a lingering musty smell permeated the space for hours. Attempts at eco-friendliness felt excessive, with open jars of water and used containers. On a positive note, the Koshihikari rice served was delightful, but the overall experience didn't justify the hefty price tag.
